Why we included this project

Wayland is a local-first desktop agent that runs on your machine and drives other coding CLIs, including Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Qwen, Goose, and a dozen more, so you can switch models mid-task without moving your files, shell, or keys off your own hardware. It is also a standalone agent: it plans multi-step work, spins up ad-hoc teams of specialists that share a blackboard, and keeps state across sessions in five SQLite-backed memory partitions. The engine re-scores its own skill prompts against an eval harness, so it gets sharper with use. If you want long-running, autonomous project work without shipping everything to a cloud provider, this is a different take on agent orchestration.
