Why we included this project

Most video projects stall not at rendering but at the moment you have to say what you actually want, shot by shot. video-spec-builder handles that interview for you: installed as a skill in Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex, it grills you like a director, pushing back on vague words such as 'premium' until you describe concrete shots and movement. It covers the usual questions (audience, length, the single takeaway) and also raises production details you may not have thought of, like subtitles or cutting visuals to the beat. After a few rounds it produces a video-spec.md, a second-by-second shot script ready to hand off to a renderer like HyperFrames. The edit mode is handy too: change one shot and the skill checks whether that change ripples through the rest of the sequence.
