Why we included this project

The spaCy team built this free course to move people past toy demos and into real NLP work: extracting entities and phrases, processing large document sets, and wiring custom components into the pipeline. Later chapters go further, showing how to train your own neural network model and tune it for a specific domain, the part most tutorials skip. The repo also includes the Gatsby and Reveal.js framework that runs the site, plus Binder-backed live execution, so you can work through exercises in your browser without installing anything. Everything is open source, with hints and full solutions available, making it a self-paced option for developers who want to learn by doing.
