Why we included this project

Exa's search engine, exposed through the Model Context Protocol, lets AI assistants pull fresh web results mid-conversation instead of working only from training data. The two default tools handle web search and crawling, returning cleaned-up page content as markdown rather than raw scraped HTML. When a single query is not enough, optional advanced tools add date-scoped, filtered searches, subpage crawling, and a research agent that builds and enriches lists. Setup takes minutes, either by pointing a client at the hosted endpoint or installing it as a plugin, and the same server works across the common MCP-compatible clients.
