Why we included this project

docmd builds a documentation site straight from a folder of Markdown files, with no React front end and no build pipeline to wire together. The zero-config setup runs with a single npx command, which makes it appealing to technical writers and small teams who want search, theming, SEO metadata, and multi-language support handled out of the box. The AI features are practical rather than gimmicky: a native Model Context Protocol server lets coding agents search, read, and validate your docs over a local connection, and llms.txt output plus a copy-context widget keep the same content friendly for assistants. If you maintain project docs, an API reference, or an internal handbook, this is a quick way to get them published and cheap to host.
