Why we included this project
obsidian-ava is an Obsidian plugin that puts a ChatGPT-style language model inside the note editor, so you can generate and rewrite markdown notes, or tidy up formatting, without leaving the app. It's a compact example of how a small team wired an LLM into a popular personal knowledge management tool, and the code covers writing, rewriting, and connecting notes. The honest caveat is that the project is deprecated and no longer maintained; the authors now point users to their successor, File Organizer 2000.
