Why we included this project

This is a hand-curated list of tools for pulling videos off YouTube, Bilibili, Douyin, and similar sites. The value is in the selection: instead of hunting through scattered GitHub repos, you get the downloaders people actually use, from command-line tools like lux and N_m3u8DL-CLI to desktop apps such as Hitomi-Downloader and downkyi, plus a few Telegram bots for grabbing clips on the go. Entries are grouped by platform and popularity, so it works as a starting point whether you want a quick one-off grab or something you can script into a media pipeline. The list itself is a map, not software, so treat it as a pointer to the real projects and verify each one is still maintained before you depend on it.
