Why we included this project
ClawBio is a library of ready-made AI agent skills for genomics and bioinformatics, built for teams that want an LLM to do real analysis rather than just chat about it. Each skill packages a domain expert's analytical decisions into a runnable, reproducible workflow. One example turns a photo of a medication into a pharmacogenomic dosage card from a personal genome; another searches nine genomic databases at once for a variant's disease associations. The package comes with demo data built on a real open human genome, so you can try skills locally before pointing them at your own data, and it runs over stdio with demo data by default, so connecting it does not automatically expose your genome. There's also a validation and benchmarking layer that scores skills against curated ground truth, which matters if you want to know whether an agent's output is actually correct. You can install it as a Python package, a Claude Code plugin, or an MCP server.
