Why we included this project
OpenClacky is a self-hosted agent workbench that turns capability packages called Skills into real actions on your machine: reading and writing files, running commands, and driving a browser to complete professional tasks end to end. Token efficiency is the design focus, with a lean tool set, conversation compression, and prompt caching, so teams that pay per token for model calls can run comparable agent workloads for noticeably less than most mainstream harnesses. It is BYOK and works with any OpenAI-compatible provider, with multi-provider failover, so you are not locked into a single vendor's subscription. Teams that want an open agent harness for everyday automation, especially ones watching API spend, will find a practical self-hosted option.
