Why we included this project

Most browser automation tools expect a clean, logged-out browser and a script to drive it. ego-lite flips that: it's a browser you keep using yourself while your AI agents run tasks in their own spaces in the same app. So when Claude Code or Codex needs to check an inbox or update a dashboard, it gets your real logged-in sessions without extra cookie wrangling or hijacking your active tab. It's macOS-only for now, with Windows and Linux on the roadmap, and it's aimed at people who want agent-driven web work to feel as seamless as clicking around themselves. For teams juggling multiple agents that have to interact with real web apps, that's a meaningfully different place to put the automation.
