Why we included this project

This is one of the longest-running curated indexes of deep learning material, organized into sections that make a crowded field navigable. It gathers books, university courses, video lectures, papers, tutorials, datasets, conferences, frameworks, and tools into a single reference. A developer starting out can move from a foundational book to a Stanford course to a working framework without visiting dozens of separate sites, and a more experienced engineer can use the papers and researcher sections to track down primary sources. Because the list is community-maintained and has been updated over many years, it reflects resources practitioners have actually used and vetted rather than one author's picks. Treat it as a starting map for learning and discovery, not as software you deploy.
