Why we included this project

mcpso is a curated, searchable directory of MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers, the kind of reference you check when you need to wire an assistant or agent to an external service. Instead of crawling scattered GitHub searches, you can look up community-maintained servers by purpose and community feedback and pick one rather than building from scratch. The project itself is a Next.js app backed by Supabase, so you can self-host a copy and tailor the collection to your own team. Treat it as a research and discovery reference, not a runtime dependency.
