Why we included this project

Android developers who have ever wondered how beauty cameras and short-video editors actually work will find this a thorough, honest walkthrough. It is a full app, not a thin demo: a camera pipeline doing real-time beautification, dynamic filters, animated stickers, and face reshaping like slimming and eye enlargement, all fed by face-landmark data from the Face++ SDK and drawn with OpenGL ES. On the video side, the author built his own FFmpeg-based player that mimics the MediaPlayer API, with fast seeking, speed playback, and live preview of Douyin-style effects including flash, zoom, shake, and split-screen, plus basic trimming. Because each subsystem lives in its own library, from the camera render engine to the filter and landmark modules, the codebase reads like a structured map of how these features fit together. The catch: it depends on external SDKs and the author admits the player still has bugs, so treat it as a learning blueprint rather than production-ready camera software.
