Why we included this project

DepthFlow turns a single still photo into a looping 3D parallax clip, the kind of subtle camera movement that shows up all over social media and digital art feeds. It estimates a depth map from the image, then renders the scene with a virtual camera that moves, so the foreground and background slide past each other at different speeds. The result exports at any resolution and frame rate, which is handy for creators who want motion from static assets without standing up a full video pipeline. It also runs as a Python library or CLI, so you can batch-process a folder of images, and the shader-based rendering keeps iteration fast. If you make stock footage or short-form social content and want depth motion added automatically, this is a practical fit.
