Why we included this project

The /watch command lets a Claude coding environment actually see and hear video content instead of guessing from a title or a partial transcript. It downloads the video, grabs timestamped captions when they exist, falls back to Whisper transcription when they don't, and extracts frames that Claude reads as images. People use it to break down a competitor's ad, diagnose a bug from a screen recording without opening the file, and cut the hype out of a product launch video. If your team regularly needs answers grounded in video, like long talks or product demos, this removes the manual work of preparing the material before the assistant can reason about it.
