Why we included this project

Face technology covers a lot of ground, and this curated index maps the field in one place. It collects papers, datasets, benchmarks, and open-source code, grouped by task so you can go straight to recognition, detection, landmark alignment, 3D, GAN-based editing, or super-resolution without wading through unrelated material. The SOTA badges and benchmark links show which methods currently lead on standard evaluations like WIDER Face and WFLW. It is a research-oriented starting point rather than a drop-in library, so expect a reading list and pointers to implementations you will still need to test on your own data.
