Why we included this project

aws-labs maintains this collection of Model Context Protocol servers, each one turning a slice of AWS into tools an LLM can call directly. You get ready-made servers for things like official documentation lookup, infrastructure and serverless deployment, database and search operations, and cost monitoring, plus specialized ones for healthcare and data pipelines. Set one up once and clients such as Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, or Kiro can talk to it over standard MCP instead of you writing tool glue for every service. That is a useful starting point whether your team wants coding agents to deploy AWS resources or you are building your own agent workflows. The servers stay current with new AWS services, and the repo is still maintained, though AWS now recommends its Agent Toolkit for production work, so treat this as a solid reference and base to build on.
