Why we included this project

Running several AI coding CLIs side by side usually means babysitting each terminal yourself. CAO instead runs a local server that launches providers like Claude Code, Codex, or Kiro in isolated tmux sessions, so a supervisor can hand tasks to specialist agents in parallel or one after another. Each agent stays a full CLI process with its own native authentication, which means you keep the real capabilities and credentials of each tool instead of a flattened abstraction. The per-provider guides walk through installation and authentication, and the supervisor profile plus Web UI make the first launch fairly painless. If you want a supervisor pattern across heterogeneous coding agents without building the plumbing yourself, this is a practical starting point.
