Why we included this project

Teams that already produce After Effects animations will get the most value from Lottie. It parses animation files exported as JSON via the Bodymovin plugin and renders them natively on the web, Android, iOS, and React Native, so the same asset behaves consistently across platforms. Designers can hand off finished animation files, and developers get a documented API for playback control, events, and renderer selection without hand-coding each frame. It is a rendering runtime rather than a generation tool.
