Why we included this project

Designers can hand off an After Effects file as bodymovin JSON and have it play, loop, reverse, scrub, or resize in an app without an engineer rebuilding the animation by hand. Lottie renders that JSON natively in real time on iOS, macOS, tvOS, and visionOS, and because the data stays JSON, the assets are small but still fully editable at runtime: you can recolor elements, move them, or change any keyframable value without re-exporting. It also works as a lightweight way to build custom transitions between screens. For product teams that want consistent, designer-driven motion across an app, this cuts out the usual back-and-forth of recreating animations manually.
