Why we included this project

If you run ComfyUI in a language other than English, this plugin is a widely used way to make the whole interface readable. It translates the resident menu bar, search bar, right-click context menus, node categories, and node names, and it also covers many popular custom nodes, so a non-English speaker can work with third-party extensions without guessing what each node does. The project supports simplified and traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and English, with one-click switching between languages. One honest caveat: the maintainers have announced that development is winding down because ComfyUI now ships its own built-in localization, so this is best treated as a bridge for existing workflows rather than a long-term dependency. For teams that still rely on older ComfyUI versions or want a reference for how interface translation was implemented, it remains a useful, well-tested example.
