Why we included this project

AGNT is a desktop application for running AI agents on your own hardware instead of renting a cloud service. You get a chat window for quick judgment calls, reusable workflows for the tasks that repeat, and persistent goals that keep working unsupervised, including the ability to hand subtasks off to parallel subagents. It supports a wide range of model providers, local ones like Ollama included, and bundles a large set of built-in tools plus MCP integration. What stands out is the audit trail: each run produces a receipt-style log showing what every agent actually did. For individuals and small teams that want self-hosted AI automation, that visibility is what makes it feel safe to hand real work to agents.
