Mac users who want an AI that does real work on their desktop instead of just chatting will find a lot to like here. The agent runs natively on macOS 26, connects to more than 18 local and cloud LLM providers, and reaches into the system through AppleScript and JXA scripting, computer use via the Accessibility API, and Xcode builds. You can hand it a plain-English instruction and it will carry out multi-step tasks across apps, pausing for your approval and offering one-click rollback along the way. It can even write code, generate disk images, and attach them to GitHub releases. Teams weighing desktop automation on Apple hardware should pay attention to how it handles the approval loop and provider flexibility before committing.
