Why we included this project

People new to data science often get lost in the sheer number of courses, libraries, and tutorials out there, and this curated index is built to fix exactly that. It lays out a learning path that starts with the basics, what data science actually is and where to begin, then moves through free courses, MOOCs, and books into hands-on material. The toolbox section is where working practitioners will spend their time: machine learning packages, deep learning ecosystems like PyTorch and TensorFlow, visualization tools, and model evaluation options are all grouped in one place. Because the list has been maintained by a large community for years, the resources in it tend to be ones that survived real use rather than a snapshot of whatever was popular at launch.
