Why we included this project

Inkdown is a WYSIWYG Markdown editor with an LLM chat panel built in, not the other way around. The formatting follows the GitHub Flavored Markdown spec, so the preview matches what a README or docs site will actually render. That makes it a comfortable choice for technical writers, note-takers, and developers who draft docs alongside code. It ships as desktop apps for Mac and Windows and also as a VS Code extension, so you can use it inside the editor you already have. A bundled Node.js service can publish local notes to the web by mapping device file paths to remote documents, with images and internal links handled automatically. Note that the project is currently paused, so it's not a safe bet for a daily driver, but it's still a solid reference for Markdown-centric workflows.
