Why we included this project

CoStrict targets teams that want AI coding help without surrendering control over output quality. It ships as a VS Code or JetBrains extension, so developers stay in their usual editor while getting agent-driven coding, repository-wide RAG-based code review, and inline completion from one tool. What sets it apart is strict mode: the assistant works through requirements analysis, architecture design, task planning, and test generation before producing code, a workflow built for groups that need consistent, auditable output. Private deployment with end-to-end encryption, plus support for local and OpenAI-compatible models, lets companies keep prompts and code on their own infrastructure when confidentiality rules out cloud defaults. MCP integration and an extensible skills system extend it to internal APIs and databases without needing separate glue code.
