Why we included this project
Godot 4 developers who want an AI assistant to actually work on their project, rather than just type GDScript into a chat window, are the audience here. The project runs an MCP server that links Claude, Cursor, Cline, and similar clients to a live Godot editor over WebSocket, so the assistant can read and edit the scene tree, reparent nodes, set properties, wire up signals, simulate input, and inspect runtime state. In practice that means the AI works on your open scene instead of handing you code to paste. One thing to know before you rely on it: the public repo only contains the free Godot addon, and the Node.js server that does the connecting ships in a one-time paid package. The server also offers several tool-count modes, which helps when your client caps how many tools it will load.
