Why we included this project

Long-context modeling is one of the messier corners of the LLM field, with new papers appearing faster than anyone can track them. This list does the tracking for you. The maintainers sort the literature into clear buckets: efficient attention, KV-cache optimization, state-space models, position encoding, long-term memory, retrieval-augmented generation, context compression, long reasoning, and evaluation. Each bucket links to the papers and blog posts behind it, and a companion survey paper ties the whole field together. That makes it a practical entry point for graduate students, applied researchers, and engineers weighing which long-context technique fits their own work. Weekly news updates keep the list current as results keep coming out.
