Why we included this project
Teams that live in Git every day but still reach for Stack Overflow when a merge goes sideways will find this more useful than another list of disconnected commands. It starts with the underlying mental model, works through daily branching, rebasing, stash, and worktree usage, and only then gets to the team-level decisions that cause the most friction: branch workflows, pull requests, code review, branch protection, rulesets, and CI. The AI-native section is where it stands out, covering how to review, split, verify, and roll back changes written by coding agents such as Cursor, Codex, and Claude Code. Tech leads can use it to set collaboration standards and governance, while individual developers get a concrete way to keep control over what their AI tools produce. Beginners follow a structured learning path, and experienced engineers can turn straight to the troubleshooting chapter when something goes wrong.
