Why we included this project

Learn Harness Engineering is a course, not a library: it walks through fourteen lectures and eight projects that show you how to build the environment, state handling, verification, and guardrails that keep an AI coding agent honest. The lessons draw on harness engineering work that OpenAI and Anthropic have published, and they come with AGENTS.md templates, feature lists, and loop-building recipes you can copy straight into your own repositories. That makes it a good fit for solo developers and small teams who use Claude Code or Codex for real work and want more than prompting tips. There is also a scaffold skill that generates a production-grade harness in a few minutes, so you can start applying what you read right away.
