Why we included this project
If you've spent an afternoon hunting through provider dashboards for a free model that responds reliably, this CLI is the shortcut. It checks roughly two hundred free coding models across about twenty providers, ranks them by live latency and a reliability score that accounts for response spikes and uptime rather than just averages, and can write your chosen model straight into tools like Aider, Cline, or OpenCode in one step. You get a current answer about which provider is actually responsive today, which beats trusting a blog post from last month. The built-in router endpoint with automatic failover is useful for teams that want to standardize on free tiers, while solo developers get a fast way to compare options without juggling multiple dashboards.
