Why we included this project

Most freelancers and small business owners have a pile of receipts they never quite get around to sorting. TaxHacker takes that pile and hands it to an LLM: you snap a photo of a receipt or drop in an invoice PDF, and it pulls out the amounts, dates, merchants, and tax lines, then files them into a structured, spreadsheet-style database you can filter and report on. The interesting part is that you are not stuck with its defaults. You can add custom fields with your own prompts and set up categories that match how you actually keep your books. It also converts currencies using historical exchange rates, crypto included, and supports multiple projects, which helps if you track several income streams at once. Because it is self-hosted, your financial documents stay on your own machine, and the demo video plus a clear feature list make it easy to tell whether this.
