Why we included this project

Subtle motion and color changes that the eye misses are the whole point of this desktop tool: point a webcam at a scene or load a video file, and it amplifies those changes live. It builds on the MIT CSAIL Eulerian video magnification work, offering three algorithms (Laplacian-pyramid motion, phase-based Riesz-pyramid motion, and color amplification for things like blood flow) behind a Qt 6 interface. The timeline scrubs frame-accurately, you can draw a region of interest, set the spatial cutoff and temporal frequency band in hertz, and flip between processed and original views side by side. Resolution controls and an FPS readout help keep up with a live camera, and results export to MP4, AVI, or lossless MKV. For vibration analysis, structural testing, or physiological signal visualization, it is a finished desktop app rather than a research prototype.
