Why we included this project
EdgeEver is a self-hosted notes workspace that brings back the familiar three-pane Evernote layout, but runs entirely on Cloudflare's free serverless tier, so there's no VPS to rent and no Docker to manage. Your notes are stored in SQLite-backed D1 and stay portable, because the open data model exposes them through a REST API and an MCP endpoint, plus a CLI, instead of locking you into a commercial service. The MCP endpoint is what makes it useful for AI-assisted workflows, since an assistant can read, tag, and organize notes, then push curated material into Obsidian, Notion, or Feishu. For individuals and small teams that want fast capture, real data ownership, and multi-device sync without a subscription, it's a practical pick.
