Why we included this project
StableStudio is Stability AI's open-source version of DreamStudio, giving you a browser-based interface for creating and editing AI images without wiring up API calls by hand. The plugin layer is what makes it interesting: you can swap the default Stability backend for your own engine or add custom tools with a bit of TypeScript, so it is not locked to the original service. For teams building their own generative image products, it is also useful as reference for how a complete editing interface is put together. Note that development has been quiet since early 2024, so treat it as a foundation to build on rather than an actively maintained app.
