Why we included this project
For people starting out in data science, the problem is usually not finding material but sorting through it. This roadmap solves that by collecting free resources into a clear path, beginning with the math and computer science basics that many quick tutorials skip, like linear algebra, hash functions, binary trees, and big-O notation, then moving through relational database ideas such as joins and the CAP theorem before reaching the machine learning and deep learning sections. Each topic comes with a short explanation and links out to free references, so it doubles as a study guide and a way to check where your own knowledge has holes. It is aimed at self-taught learners and junior developers who want a structured alternative to hopping between random YouTube videos. Use it as a curriculum to work through, not as something you run.
