Why we included this project

dsh-deep-whale is a theme pack for the web UI of DeepSeek Harness (dsh), a self-hosted AI assistant, rather than a model or a tool of its own. If you already run dsh and want something besides the default look, the maid-atelier skin brings a twin-maid background, deep-blue lace accents, and a chibi sidebar in both light and dark modes, and it installs as a plugin with a single short command. The repo also bundles a dsh-skin-install skill, so the harness can list the available skins, ask which one you want to activate, and switch you over through configuration hot reload, with no source edits or restarts. Attribution is handled carefully: the original whale-girl character art and the DeepSeek-themed redesign are both credited, and the whole pack is released under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, non-commercial, so read that before using it anywhere that makes money. It is purely cosmetic, though, with no model logic or automation, so treat it as a quick way to give teams standardized on dsh a friendlier chat surface.
