Why we included this project

Streamers and meeting hosts who want a virtual background rarely want to buy a physical green screen, and this OBS plugin gives them a software-only alternative. It attaches as a filter to any video source and segments people in real time, with several models to pick from, so you can favor the fast MediaPipe portrait model or the cleaner matte from Robust Video Matting. It goes beyond people too: a depth-of-field mode blurs the backdrop, and a general object remover cuts out non-human subjects. The ONNX models and GPU acceleration ship with the plugin, so you don't have to stand up segmentation infrastructure yourself. The bundled low-light enhancement filter is a useful extra if your camera feed runs dark.
