Why we included this project

Anyone on macOS who has handed a large codebase to an AI coding agent knows the setup cost: the agent only understands what you assemble for it. RepoPrompt CE is a native app that gathers file trees, selected file contents, CodeMaps, and Git diffs into one focused, reviewable prompt before it reaches your tool of choice. Its bundled MCP server and CLI harness let MCP-compatible clients and command-line agents search the repository, inspect files, curate context, and run sessions through a single native interface, so prompt assembly and orchestration stop being scattered terminal chores. If writing prompt after prompt about your repo eats more of your day than reading diffs, the reviewable handoff is what to test. It is the free community edition of a paid tool, so you can run the whole workflow locally before paying.
