Why we included this project
Anyone who has redrawn a figure by hand for a paper knows how much time goes into turning a rough sketch or a scan from an older article into clean vector graphics. DeTikZify takes that picture and emits TikZ code that reproduces it, so the result drops straight into a LaTeX document. Since the output is code rather than pixels, you can still adjust styling, labels, and layout yourself, and the figure stays crisp in the final PDF. It is a focused, research-grade tool rather than a general drawing suite, so it suits people who are comfortable enough with LaTeX to fine-tune the generated commands.
