Why we included this project
Tutor-GPT is a working Next.js app, not a prompt template or a paper implementation, so anyone building educational software can run it and watch a tutor revise its own prompts as it learns what a given student does and does not understand. That theory-of-mind loop is the interesting part: the model keeps a live picture of the learner and nudges them to the next step instead of just answering each question directly. It grew out of a literacy tutor and now covers broader tutoring, with Honcho supplying persistent user profiles and Supabase handling auth and storage. Worth a look if you want to see prompt self-modification, user modeling, and chat UX wired together in code you can actually run.
