Why we included this project

PhotoPrism is a self-hosted photo manager for people who want Google Photos-style organization without handing their library to a cloud provider. It ingests RAW images and video, then uses machine learning to auto-tag people, places, and objects, so you can find a shot by searching instead of digging through folders. The progressive web app works on phones, tablets, and desktops, and the search filters combine labels, location, and date to narrow things down. For anyone with years of family photos spread across devices, the appeal is simple: the software runs on your own hardware, and your pictures stay there.
