Why we included this project

WarriorJS is a turn-based game that makes programming practice feel like play. You write JavaScript or TypeScript to guide a warrior up tower floors, deciding when to strike, when to dodge, and whether to rescue a captive, and the code you submit is the entire strategy. There's no clicking around; each floor is a puzzle that rewards logic kept simple and clear. Beginners get an immediate feedback loop that starts at their first if statement, while players who want more can refactor for a perfect score. It runs as a simple CLI or in the browser, and because anyone can build and share custom towers, it's also useful for coding workshops and hiring exercises.
