Why we included this project

Anyone starting a research project or a thesis will save weeks by landing here first: the repository collects more than a thousand survey papers covering NLP and machine learning, grouped by the same area taxonomy that ACL and ICML use. You can drill from a broad interest, say large language models or machine translation, straight to the relevant surveys without re-scraping arXiv, and per-area paper counts show which subtopics are already saturated with surveys and which are still thin. A separate index of LLM surveys is maintained alongside the main list. Expect a reading index rather than executable software, but for literature review it is one of the more complete public starting points available.
