Why we included this project
Neuromatch Academy's summer school now shares its full curriculum as an open, self-paced repository. It is a large collection of hands-on Python notebooks that move from dynamical systems and probability to modern machine learning, always tying the math back to real neural data and brain function. That structure makes it work for two audiences: someone studying alone can run the notebooks from start to finish, while an instructor can lift whole modules to build a course. If your team is stepping into neuroscience-related AI or wants a mathematically grounded refresher on the modeling techniques used there, this is a ready-made path rather than a pile of scattered papers. The materials are released for reuse and remixing, so they are a practical building block for anyone putting together a curriculum.
