Why we included this project

Teams that keep pasting internal documents into chatbots and getting inconsistent answers back are the ones Arkon was built for. It runs as a self-hosted MCP server that compiles material like SOPs and policies into an interlinked wiki, then serves that wiki to Claude or any MCP-capable client through a single permission-scoped endpoint, so employees only get context that matches their department and role. What makes it more than a vector store is the ingestion pipeline: it drafts a plan an editor can review and adjust before writing anything, merges new sources into existing pages rather than overwriting them, and records which source documents back each claim. That mix of human review, traceability, and role-based access is exactly what most teams managing shared knowledge for LLM workflows are missing. One caveat worth knowing: it ships under the PolyForm Internal Use license, so it is meant for internal business operations, not redistribution.
