Why we included this project
Kimi CLI is a terminal-based AI agent: tell it what to build or fix, and it reads and edits your code, runs shell commands, searches the web, and adjusts its plan as it goes. That makes it a natural fit for developers who want coding help without leaving the terminal. It also has a shell-command mode for running commands mid-session, supports Agent Client Protocol out of the box so ACP-compatible editors can drive it, and offers a VS Code extension for working inside the editor. The honest caveat is that Kimi CLI is being phased out in favor of its successor, Kimi Code CLI, which inherits configuration and sessions from existing installs. So it's mainly worth trying now if you want a feel for the agent workflow or are planning a migration.
