Why we included this project
GitHub Copilot does a lot more than autocomplete, and this Microsoft-run course focuses on the parts most people never dig into. Built for VS Code users, it's a ten-hour, multi-module program that starts with getting Copilot set up and moves into the deeper workflows: writing prompts in JavaScript, Python, and C#, working from the command line, handing tasks to the coding agent, connecting MCP servers, and shipping to Azure. Each lesson pairs a written walkthrough with a hands-on challenge, so you actually practice instead of just reading. The agent mode and Azure material are current enough to double as a working reference for a team standardizing on AI-assisted development. Newcomers get a deliberate on-ramp, while experienced developers can skip ahead to the advanced and SQL-focused lessons.
