Why we included this project
Microsoft's AI Lab collects self-contained experiment projects that teach developers by doing. Each one pairs a working playground with readable source code and a clear explanation of the model and problem it solves, so you can trace a real solution end to end. Examples range from turning handwritten sketches into HTML to generating stories from images, plus custom object detection, machine reading comprehension, and style transfer. That breadth makes it a handy survey of what Microsoft AI services could do when the repo was maintained, and it works best as a learning reference and a source of sample architectures and Azure service wiring to adapt, not something to deploy directly. Just note the projects were last updated a while ago, so dependencies and SDKs may need refreshment before they run cleanly today.
