Why we included this project

Reading dense research papers is one of the steepest parts of getting into machine learning, and this collection tackles that directly by pairing each paper with hand-drawn illustrations, margin notes, and plain-language explanations of the key terms and prior work. The papers are grouped by theme, with sections for object detection, convolutional networks, unsupervised and self-supervised learning, and AI and cognitive science, so you can jump straight to the subfield you are trying to understand. Each entry reads like a guided walkthrough of a paper's main idea, which makes it much easier to grasp the intuition before you ever open the original PDF. For students, self-taught engineers, and anyone preparing a talk or a study group, this is a useful reading companion rather than just another link list. It is a curated study aid, not software you run, so pair it with the source papers.
